Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter for WCBD-TV. Her reporting of the ineffective police response in response to DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. As well as her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
